Become a Leader?

recruitment-twitter-post-5-png.png

Without our wonderful team of leaders and volunteers we would not be able to function as a group. As well as the leaders who run and organise each of the sections, we have a great team who work behind the scenes to help with fundraising, finances and organisation.

Our group scout leader, Guy Bolton, overseas and runs the group with support form our elected exectutive committee. The committee meet regulary to set the direct of the group and organise the larger events in our calandar.

We are always looking for additional leaders and volunteers, and there are many roles available. Any support is welcome, and you do not have to commit any more than you can or want to. You do not have to have any experience of scouting and it is a great way to help out your local community. Being a leader comes with some benefits, particularly if your child wants  a place in the group.

We also run a Young Leaders programme, open to anyone aged between 14 and 18. This is a great way to volunteer as part of other youth awards such as the Duke of Edinburgh's Award
